About this Content
Aims
Increase productivity of driving rehabilitation therapists by 33% (patients per week).
Background
Long assessment times (1+ hour) caused delays, reducing the number of patients seen and increasing wait times.
Methods
Streamlined workflows: replaced visual perceptual tests with iPad app, reduced cognitive tests, and direct EPIC documentation.
Results
Productivity improved by 33% (3 to 4 patients/day); lead time reduced from 3 weeks to 2 weeks.
Conclusion
Streamlined workflows increased efficiency, productivity, and patient satisfaction.
Lessons Learnt
Technology (iPad app) and process redesign reduced inefficiencies while enhancing patient experience.
