Aims
Improve Turnaround Time (TAT) for admissions and discharges, and upskill manpower.
Background
Increased patient load (66% rise from 2016 to 2018) with no increase in PSAs impacted admission/discharge times.
Methods
Revised PSA schedules, reduced ward counter hours, and collaborated with NTFGH for Sunday support.
Results
Admission TAT reduced from 10 to 7 minutes (30% improvement); discharge TAT reduced from 27 to 18 minutes (33% improvement).
Conclusion
Improved workflows and collaboration with NTFGH optimized patient care and productivity.
Lessons Learnt
Historical trend analysis and cross-team collaboration effectively improved efficiency and patient care.
