Aims
Foster a strong patient safety culture through strategic communication intervention.
Background
Following the 2016 Hep C incident, SingHealth aimed to build a culture of accountability and safety through the “Target Zero Harm” movement.
Methods
Real-life storytelling campaigns shared through posters, intranet, email blasts, wall murals, and videos.
Results
96.5% of staff reported a better understanding of their role in patient safety; 83.8% agreed it raised awareness on open sharing.
Conclusion
The initiative successfully promoted accountability, patient safety awareness, and open sharing.
Lessons Learnt
Effective communication strategies increased awareness of safety practices and reduced unsafe behaviors.
