Aims
Automate staff OT claims processing to reduce HR workload, achieving a productivity gain of up to 90% and eventually a fully automated process.
Background
HR manually processes ~1000 OT claims per month, taking 200 man-hours annually. Claims validation and computation were labor-intensive and error-prone.
Methods
Robotic Process Automation (RPA) was implemented to handle claims validation and computation. The process shifted from manual collation to automated, reducing steps and human intervention.
Results
Processing time reduced from 8 hours to 30 minutes per batch. The RPA bot processes ~1000 claims in under 5 minutes, improving accuracy and traceability.
Conclusion
Future plans include achieving 100% automation and applying RPA to other HR functions for greater efficiency.
Lessons Learnt
RPA can significantly reduce administrative burden. In-house development allows rapid updates and customization at no extra cost.
