Background
Longer LOS for hip arthroscopy patients increases healthcare costs and limits bed availability.
Methods
Conducted PDSA cycles focusing on preoperative education, streamlined post-op instructions, and timely physiotherapy referral.
Results
Median LOS reduced from 2 days to 1 day in 80.65% of patients, saving $6,079.72.
Conclusion
Early discharge post-arthroscopy optimizes healthcare resources while maintaining quality care.
Lessons Learnt
Clear communication and education improved patient preparedness and LOS outcomes.
