Aims
To expand the network with subgroups for Analytics, Telehealth, AI, Physician Builders, and introduce regular Hintathons to solve complex problems.
Background
The Health Informatics Network is a network for developing and disseminating informatics-related knowledge and practices, supported by TTSH Clinical & Health Informatics Office.
Methods
The network uses a community of practice to share best practices, seminars for hands-on experience, personalisation labs for customised training, and a competency and training framework to enhance informatics expertise.
Results
60% of identified issues were resolved or closed, institutional core members are Epic certified across 10 applications, and there is increased collaboration between disciplines.
Conclusion
The initiatives have improved clinician productivity, reduced screen time within Epic, and promoted the adoption of SmartTools.
Lessons Learnt
Identified areas of improvement such as documentation compliance and quality, and enhanced career opportunities for informaticists.
