Aims
Explore the perception of frailty, resilience, and self-efficacy among older adults and caregivers.
Background
Frailty impacts independence, resilience, and quality of life. Understanding coping mechanisms is key to support interventions.
Methods
Grounded theory approach with in-depth interviews (N=24 older adults, N=10 caregivers). Open, axial, and selective coding used for analysis.
Results
Frailty combines physical, psychological, and social elements. Self-efficacy influences coping and resilience. Conceptual framework developed.
Conclusion
Conceptual framework guides future interventions to improve resilience and self-efficacy in older adults.
Lessons Learnt
Strengthening resilience and self-efficacy delays frailty onset and enhances quality of life.
