Aims
Explore the feasibility and effectiveness of a tech-enabled self-management programme using free-to-use mobile apps to improve self-efficacy and quality of life for chronic stroke survivors.
Background
Limited access to rehabilitation support necessitated a digital solution to enhance stroke survivors' self-management.
Methods
5 sessions conducted over 3 months with purposive sampling, mobile app usage tracking, pre/post-intervention questionnaires, and interviews.
Results
Fair retention and attendance. Minor improvements observed in self-efficacy and quality of life scores; no statistically significant changes.
Conclusion
Tech-enabled interventions using mobile apps are feasible but require optimization for greater usability and outcomes.
Lessons Learnt
Personalization of app content, clear guidance, and user training are critical for improving app adoption and impact.
