Aims
Employ technology to enable NOKs to connect with residents via Zoom during COVID-19 pandemic.
Background
During the COVID-19 pandemic, LAMH decided to employ the use of technology to enable NOKs to connect with their loved ones via Zoom video-teleconferencing.
Methods
The system included an interface to automate and collate booking details, send reminders, and generate unique Zoom meeting IDs. It utilized Calendly integrated with Zoom and Microsoft 365.
Results
Tasks like reminders for VT and manual appointment documentation were automated, reducing errors and improving staff efficiency. NOKs expressed satisfaction.
Conclusion
Automation maximized resources, improved workflows, and satisfied NOKs while reducing staff workload.
Lessons Learnt
Training and easy-to-use systems facilitated adoption. Challenges included initial staff training and scaling to additional branches.
