Background
Limited community outings for nursing home residents prompted in-house solutions for social interaction.
Methods
Created physical stalls ("Pasar Petang"), mobile trolley shopping ("Pasar Petang on Wheels"), and e-shopping ("E-Pasar Petang").
Results
Increased participation (70-80%) and positive mood improvements among residents.
Conclusion
Combining traditional and digital shopping offers meaningful engagement opportunities for residents.
Lessons Learnt
Adaptive strategies maintain engagement despite external challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic.
