About this Content
Aims
To evaluate the effectiveness of an mHealth app in disseminating lab-related information among health professionals.
Background
Manual dissemination of lab-related information led to inefficiencies and an increased workload for the lab team.
Methods
Implemented an mHealth app; conducted pre/post-intervention surveys and analyzed phone query data.
Results
Improved end-user satisfaction (mean score increased from 3.49 to 3.66, p=0.009); reduced phone queries in "Information Needs" by 58%.
Conclusion
Mixed results highlighted the potential of mHealth apps but emphasized the need for further optimization.
Lessons Learnt
mHealth interventions need continuous evaluation and adaptation to meet healthcare demands effectively.
