Aims
Increase projects using QI methodology to 100% and Speech Therapists (STs) with QI experience to 80%.
Background
Only 42% of QI projects (2016–2019) used QI methodology; 53% of STs lacked fundamental QI knowledge.
Methods
Conducted a 1-hour QI in-service and provided a step-by-step QI package to STs; monitored QI adoption.
Results
QI methodology adoption increased to 100% (2/2 projects); 14% increase in STs with QI experience.
Conclusion
In-service training and structured QI packages improved QI knowledge and methodology adoption.
Lessons Learnt
Short, interactive QI training was time-efficient and effective; staff applied QI practices successfully.
