Lessons Learnt
In order to redesign processes and improve the situation of any kind, it is crucial to walk through the patient journey and identify the touch point(s) and deep dive into the contributing factors that might have caused the issue. Any minor tweak to the workflow can be as impactful to create a positive change.
Additional Information
During the early implementation stages, there were some teething issues as patients often get confused about the reporting location and instructions given. Staff resistance to try out a new workflow was also another hurdle to overcome.
