Reduced average length of stay (ALOS) by 1.5 days; opioid usage decreased by 32%; improved patient mobilization.
Conclusion
ERAS protocols demonstrated improved recovery times and reduced complications, promoting adoption in other surgeries.
Lessons Learnt
Multidisciplinary leadership and pre-op education are key success factors for improving recovery outcomes.
