Aims
Develop a virtual staff orientation program to improve learning efficiency and reduce time for new staff onboarding.
Background
Traditional three-day face-to-face orientation sessions were inefficient and not suitable during COVID-19.
Methods
Developed nine e-learning modules with virtual tours and assessments; implemented feedback mechanisms for continuous improvement.
Results
Reduced orientation duration from three days to one; achieved 97% satisfaction rate; provided flexibility and consistency in learning.
Conclusion
Virtual orientation proved to be an effective and sustainable solution for staff training during and post-pandemic.
Lessons Learnt
Virtual learning models enhance accessibility, engagement, and efficiency for staff onboarding.
