Aims
Develop an efficient method for gathering cost parameters to facilitate budget preparation for clinical trials.
Background
The time lag in providing budgets for clinical trial sponsors was caused by multiple exchanges of information across parties.
Methods
Developed the Clinical Trial Fact Sheet Template (CTFaST) through iterative feedback with stakeholders to consolidate cost parameters.
Results
Reduced time to generate the first draft budget by 50%; improved communication through clear contacts in CTFaST.
Conclusion
CTFaST significantly improved budgeting efficiency, reducing turnaround time for clinical trial sponsors.
Lessons Learnt
Centralized templates streamline communication and reduce delays in budgeting processes.
