Background
Daily food services generate significant waste. The initiative seeks to reduce the environmental impact of waste.
Methods
Adopted Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle for identifying, reinventing, and reducing waste materials.
Results
2,330kg of food waste reinvented; 85kg of plastic waste repurposed; 1,100kg of single-use disposables avoided, resulting in cost savings of $11,700 annually.
Conclusion
The project achieved waste minimization and cost savings, aligning with sustainability goals.
Lessons Learnt
Feedback-driven waste reduction fosters environmental sustainability and operational cost savings.
