Background
72% of pediatric burns occur at home, primarily in the kitchen, with caregivers often administering incorrect first aid.
Methods
Created a 2-minute video featuring latent risks, prevention tips, and first aid, translated into four languages.
Results
Video garnered 28.8K views and over 1K shares on social media; incorporated into MOM’s Settling-In Programme for FDWs.
Conclusion
The video enhanced awareness and reduced misconceptions about burn management, benefiting caregivers and children.
Lessons Learnt
Short, impactful videos are effective for public education in a tech-savvy population.
