Aims

Background
The manual entry of claims into the system was inefficient and error-prone, leading to delays and increased workload. The integration of iHIS with the Medi Claim portal aimed to address these issues.
Methods
The project involved integrating the iHIS with the Medi Claim portal to automate the claim submission process. This included technical adjustments, collaboration with stakeholders, and system testing.
Results
The automation reduced the need for manual intervention, decreased staff requirements from 3 to 1, and resulted in annual savings of $118,754. It also eliminated errors and improved processing efficiency.
Conclusion
The integration of iHIS with the Medi Claim portal successfully improved the claims process, resulting in cost savings and increased efficiency.
Lessons Learnt
The project highlighted the importance of having backup personnel, clear roles and responsibilities, and escalation processes to ensure continuity and address challenges effectively.
