Aims
Improve the average EQ-5D-3L index score of residents by 10% (from 0.76 to 0.84) within 1–1.5 years.
Background
Residents’ EQ-5D-3L index scores were below the national average (0.76 vs 0.95), indicating poorer quality of life.
Methods
Implemented BioPsychoSocial screening tools, structured quarterly engagements, interdisciplinary group meetings, and video calls during COVID-19.
Results
Index score improved to 0.83 (9% improvement), nearing the target of 10%.
Conclusion
Interdisciplinary care and targeted engagement effectively improved residents’ well-being.
Lessons Learnt
Quality of life goes beyond physical health; psychological and social health must also be prioritized.
