Establish AM-EPIC competency framework to improve patient safety and quality through structured training.
Background
SingHealth, with over 28,000 staff, lacked a unified framework for Patient Safety and Quality (PSQ) training and professional recognition.
Methods
Conducted literature reviews, aligned training programs, and established a multi-level professional recognition path.
Results
Developed 4-level PSQ competency framework, integrated cluster-wide training, and issued 45 recognition letters.
Conclusion
AM-EPIC framework standardized patient safety and quality training, strengthening SingHealth's healthcare capabilities.
Lessons Learnt
Clearer pathways for training and professional recognition fostered better staff engagement and sustainability.

Framework aligns with the Canadian Patient Safety Institute and SHINE National Curriculum Guide.
