Aims
Improve accessibility and reliability of surgeon preference cards to enhance surgical preparation efficiency.
Background
Hardcopy preference cards were outdated, inaccessible, and created workflow inefficiencies for perioperative nurses.
Methods
Implemented cloud-based platform with standardized templates, QR codes for accessibility, and ongoing updates. Post-trial survey conducted to measure satisfaction.
Results
94% of surveyed nurses rated satisfied/very satisfied in efficiency, accessibility, and sustainability. Over 600 preference cards updated since initiation.
Conclusion
Real-time updates on surgeon preference cards streamlined surgical preparation and improved accessibility.
Lessons Learnt
Cloud-based platforms enhance workflow efficiency, satisfaction, and sustainability for surgical teams.
