Aims
Modify EatSafe SG e-learning materials for face-to-face training to cater to FS staff’s needs and improve knowledge.
Background
98% of FS staff are English-illiterate and non-tech savvy, making the e-learning mode ineffective for them.
Methods
E-learning materials were modified for face-to-face training. Conducted live demonstrations, multilingual sessions, and simplified quizzes. Collected qualitative feedback for improvement.
Results
100% satisfaction with session pace and size; 70% scored full marks on quizzes; re-explanations provided for errors; feedback suggested language-specific sessions.
Conclusion
Successfully modified EatSafe SG training for FS staff, achieving high satisfaction and improved knowledge.
Lessons Learnt
Virtual training does not suit FS staff; tailored methods with staff feedback lead to effective learning.
