About this Content
Aims
Examine reliability and agreement of cognitive assessments via F2F and VC during COVID-19.
Background
COVID-19 necessitated remote options for cognitive screening in older adults with cognitive impairments.
Methods
Compared F2F and VC administration of cognitive assessments using intraclass correlation coefficients and Bland-Altman plots.
Results
Good reliability found, but wide limits of agreement; VC scores were slightly higher, possibly influenced by prompting.
Conclusion
VC is viable for early-stage cognitive impairment but requires adaptations to minimize external influences.
Lessons Learnt
Environment optimization and patient selection are crucial for VC assessments to ensure accuracy.
Additional Information
Attained Silver award at SHBC 2021 in COVID-19 Response (Poster) category.
